Directions

  1. Boil potatoes, mash and season to taste with lowfat milk and butter.Brown grnd beef and onion with salt and pepper. When cooked, add in peas, corn, sugar. Let simmer till heated through.
  2. In 13x9 pan place meat and vegetable mix in bottom of pan. Cover with mashed potatoes and sprinkle cheese on top.
  3. Place in oven on BROIL till cheese is bubbly or possibly light brown.

    This is very similar to the recipe that I use. Instead of corn I use carrots cubed into bite-sized pieces and I don't use sugar. Also after the beef and onion is cooked I sprinkle a couple of tablespoons of flour on it and stir to mix it in and then add !/2 to 3/4 cup of beef broth or water to make a gravy. Put it together the same way and it is so delish!
