Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 lg. tomato
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pkg. frzn peas
  • 1 pound pkg. ham (sliced)
  • 2 lg. carrots (shredded)
  • 2 stalks celery (diced)

Directions

  1. Boil Large eggs and shell. Place frzn peas in colander and let thaw. Each ingredient listed above is a layer for the salad.
  2. First layer: Shred lettuce.
  3. Second layer: Dice tomato.
  4. Third layer: Slice ham into small pcs.
  5. Fourth layer: Shred carrots.
  6. Fifth layer: Frzn peas.
  7. Sixth layer: 1/2 c. shredded cheese.
  8. Seventh layer: Diced celery.
  9. Mix 3/4 c. mayonnaise, 1 Tbsp. sugar together and spoon over the top of salad. Dice hard boiled Large eggs and place on top with salt and pepper. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Cover and refrigeratein refrigerator for several hrs before serving.
  10. Note: Vegetable ingredients may be varied depending on individual. Cholesterol free mayonnaise may be used instead of regular mayonnaise. This is a meal within itself.
