Ingredients
- 1 lb Sage-flavored bulk pork
- Â Â Sausage
- 2 Tbsp. Finely minced onion
- 6 Tbsp. All-purpose flour
- 1 quart Lowfat milk
- 1/2 tsp Poultry seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Grnd nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- Â Â Dash Worcestershire sauce
- Â Â Dash warm pepper sauce
Directions
- Crumble sausage into a large saucepan; cook over medium-low heat. Add in onion; cook and stir till transparent. Drain, discarding all but 2 Tbsp. of drippings. Stir in flour; cook over medium-low heat about 6 min or possibly till mix bubbles and turns golden brown. Stir in lowfat milk. Add in seasonings; cook, stirring, till thickened.
- Serve over biscuits or possibly over chicken fried steak.
- Yield: 4 servings.
