,%20so%20I%20shall%20be%20spending%20the%20day%20on%20the%20sofa,%20probably%20watching%20a%20continuous%20stream%20of%20rom-coms.%20I%E2%80%99ve%20already%20brought%20my%20duvet%20downstairs,%20which%20immediately%20makes%20me%20feel%20a%20little%20better.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELuckily,%20my%20illness%20has%20not%20dampened%20my%20excitement%20about%20this%20recipe.%20Although%20I%20can%E2%80%99t%20really%20eat%20these%20right%20now%20(I%E2%80%99m%20sure%20you%20don%E2%80%99t%20want%20me%20to%20go%20into%20too%20much%20detail%20about%20my%20symptoms,%20but%20needless%20to%20say,%20eating%20a%20load%20of%20dairy%20is%20probably%20not%20what%20I%20need%20right%20now),%20I%E2%80%99m%20very%20much%20looking%20forward%20to%20returning%20to%20chocolate%20bliss%20once%20I%E2%80%99m%20better.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20salted%20chocolate%20pots%20are%20the%20little%20treats%20I%20made%20myself%20to%20celebrate%20my%20birthday.%20I%20hunted%20all%20over%20the%20internet%20to%20get%20inspiration%20for%20the%20recipe,%20but%20every%20single%20version%20I%20found%20contained%20egg%20%E2%80%93%20and%20although%20I%E2%80%99m%20sure%20those%20recipes%20work%20just%20fine,%20I%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20be%20bothered%20to%20faff%20around%20scrambling%20eggs,%20throwing%20the%20whole%20lot%20in%20the%20bin,%20scrambling%20them%20once%20again,%20and%20finally%20getting%20it%20right%20on%20the%20tenth%20try.%20So%20instead,%20I%20improvised,%20and%20made%20my%20own,%20egg-free%20chocolate%20pots.%20And%20let%20me%20tell%20you%20%E2%80%93%20they%20definitely%20don%E2%80%99t%20need%20egg.%20My%20simple%20recipe%20of%20butter,%20chocolate%20and%20cream%20(yep,%20all%20three%20of%20those%E2%80%A6)%20worked%20just%20perfectly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20could%20just%20make%20plain%20old%20chocolate%20pots,%20which%20would%20be%20awesome,%20but%20the%20things%20that%20really%20make%20this%20recipe%20spectacular%20are%20the%20gooey%20caramel%20sauce%20underneath,%20and%20the%20pinch%20of%20fleur%20de%20sel%20on%20top%20(that%E2%80%99s%20sea%20salt%20to%20us%20common%20folk).%20It%20might%20seem%20odd%20to%20add%20salt%20to%20chocolate,%20but%20it%E2%80%99s%20all%20the%20rage%20these%20days,%20and%20I%20can%20see%20why%20%E2%80%93%20every%20time%20a%20grain%20of%20salt%20lands%20on%20your%20tongue,%20it%20gives%20a%20little%20tang%20that%20offsets%20the%20super%20sweet%20chocolate%20just%20perfectly.%20It%E2%80%99s%20a%20really%20amazing%20combination!%20Make%20sure%20you%20dig%20right%20through%20the%20layers%20to%20get%20a%20bit%20of%20everything.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHave%20you%20ever%20tried%20salted%20chocolate%20or%20salted%20caramel?%20What%20did%20you%20think?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESalted%20chocolate%20pots%20with%20caramel%20sauce%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETotal%20time%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3%20hours%2010%20mins%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAuthor:%20Becca%20@%20Amuse%20Your%20Bouche%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecipe%20type:%20Dessert%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes:%206%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20few%20pinches%20of%20fleur%20de%20sel%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMelt%20the%20butter%20and%20chocolate%20together%20in%20a%20pan%20over%20a%20very%20low%20heat,%20stirring%20continuously.%20Add%20the%20cream,%20and%20continue%20to%20stir%20until%20smooth%20and%20fully%20incorporated.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20around%20a%20tablespoon%20of%20caramel%20sauce%20into%20the%20bottom%20of%20six%20small%20ramekins,%20and%20swirl%20it%20around%20a%20little%20to%20coat%20the%20bottom.%20Distribute%20the%20chocolate%20mixture%20evenly%20between%20the%20ramekins%20on%20top%20of%20the%20caramel%20sauce.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20the%20ramekins%20in%20the%20fridge%20for%20around%20half%20an%20hour,%20before%20adding%20a%20pinch%20of%20fleur%20de%20sel%20to%20the%20top%20of%20each.%20Return%20to%20the%20fridge%20for%20another%20couple%20of%20hours,%20until%20fully%20set.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.2.2310%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
