"Sally Ann" Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. shortening 1 c. molasses 1 teaspoon ginger 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon cloves (optional) 1/2 c. warm coffee 2 teaspoon soda 3/4 teaspoon salt 5 1/2 to 6 c. flour

Directions

1. Mix all cookie ingredients and chill. Roll out dough about 1/4 inch thick. Cut out dough using a Spam can. Bake 10 to 12 min till lightly browned. Cold and frost.
