Directions

  1. Heat a sauce pot with the olive oil and the sesame oil. Add the garlic, onion, carrots and ginger to simmer until the garlic is fragrant and the onion softened.
  2. Add the broth, beans and seasonings and continue to simmer on low.
  3. Adjust the seasonings to your taste.
  4. Prepare the rice as directed while the soup is simmering.
  5. Add the lettuce to the soup and continue to simmer.
  6. Place a scoop of rice in a bowl and cover with the soup.
