Ingredients
- 1 head lettuce
- 1 med. onion, minced
- 2 tomatoes, minced
- 1 sm. can green chilies, liquid removed & minced
- 1 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning
- 1/2 c. mild taco sauce
- 1/2 c. red wine vinegar & oil dressing
- 6 ounce. nacho chips, broken
Directions
- Tear lettuce and place in bottom of large salad bowl. Layer with onion, tomatoes, green chilies and cheese. Saute/fry beef and drain. Add in taco seasoning, following package directions using only 2/3 the amount of water. Mix taco sauce with dressing and blend well. Add in beef; mix well. Place beef mix in salad bowl. Sprinkle chips over beef and toss. Serve hot or possibly chilled.
