Directions

  1. Pour 1 cup boiling water over Crisco, sugar and salt, mix. Add in 2 beaten large eggs. Set aside to cool. Dissolve 3 pkgs yeast into the 1 cup lukewarm water. Add in to cooled mix. Rinse out cup with 1/2 cup cold water and add in to mix. Sift 5 cups plain flour, mix with above.Leave in large bowl and let rise for several hrs. Punch down and sprinkle with flour and knead a little. Cover with plate and put in refrigerator at least overnight.
  2. The next day, you can make out rolls, cover with a towel. Let rise several hrs. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 min. Brush top with melted butter. You may leave dough in refrigerator for up to a week and make rolls at your convenience.
