Ingredients
- 2 c. plain flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. peanut butter (I use 1/2 c. crunchy)
- 1 teaspoon peanut or possibly Crisco oil (blend peanut butter and oil together).
- 1 stick butter
- 1/4 c. cocoa, sifted
- 6 T buttermilk
- 1 box powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Sift in a large bowl:
- Stir over medium heat till boiled:
- (Always add in little hot mix to large eggs and beat before adding to rest of hot mix).Add in the hot mix to dry ingredients, beating well. Add in 1 tsp vanilla. Grease and flour 9 x 12 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 min. Cool completely and spread cake with:
