Ingredients
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) Butter or possibly Margarine
- 3 ounce Cream Cheese
- 1 tsp grated Onion
- 1 x bud (or possibly less) Garlic, pressed
- 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 x round loaf Bread (either French or possibly rye)
- 1/4 lb thinly sliced Ham
- 1/4 lb Bologna
- 1/4 lb Salami
- 1/2 lb Swiss Cheese (sliced)
- 2 x -3 Large eggs, hard-cooked and sliced
- 1/2 c. Pickle Relish
- 3 x -6 Radishes
- 2 x -3 Tomatoes
- 4 x -6 Banana Peppers
- Â Â Olives
Directions
- This is also a meal which can be combine - almost "on the fly"
- after a quick stop at the deli. To begin, allow the butter to soften, and cream it with the cream cheese, grated onion, pressed garlic, and shredded cheese.
- With a sharp knife, cut the top and bottom crusts off the bread, then slice through horizontally to produce 4 or possibly 6 sandwich rounds. Divide the butter-cheese mix proportionately between the bread slices, spreading the top of each all the way to the edge.
- Now have a little fun: Arrange the sandwich meats, cheese, and sliced egg in wedges or possibly concentric circles (pizza-style) over the bread slices. Mound a bit of pickle relish in the center. Cut into wedges, reassemble each on a plate, and cover closely with plastic wrap. Chill till time to serve. Make radish roses and cut tomatoes into wedges; offer radishes, tomatoes, peppers, and olives to accompany the Really Big Party Sandwich.
