Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. flour (may use self-rising and omit salt and baking pwdr)
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 sm. egg
- 6 lg. tart apples (peeled and sliced)
- 1/3 c. melted butter
Directions
- Sift together first 4 ingredients. Add in egg (unbeaten) and mix well with fork till mix is like coarse cornmeal.Line bottom of pan with sliced apples. Sprinkle over all with flour mix then drizzle over all with melted butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, using sufficient to lightly cover cake. 13x9x2 pan, 350 degrees, about 1 hour. 1/2 c. sugar
- Sugar and cinnamon mix to be made and kept in closed container for future use.
