Ingredients
- For the Galapong:
- 2 cups rice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup boiled rice
- 1 1/2 cups water
- For the Putong Puti
- 1 recipe Galapong
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- Little anise
Directions
- For the Galapong: wash rice and soak in water overnight. Add boiled rice and salt then grind fine. Galapong should have the consistency of medium thick batter.
- For the Putong Puti: combine all ingredients and steam over boiling water for about half an hour.
- Puto is the accompaniment of dinugu-an.
