This is an old school frozen dessert I learned from my mother-in-law. It's not sophisticated, but is easy and great fun for kids to make (although the name is pretty goofy!).
Ingredients
- 1 (2 L) bottle grape soda (or your favorite flavor)
- 1 (14 oz) can condensed milk
Directions
- Pour the soda into a wide, shallow, freezable pan (13 x 9). Whisk in the condensed milk until incorporated.
- Place pan in the freezer for 1 hour. Take the pan from the freezer and scrape the soda mixture with a fork. Place back in the freezer for another hour. Again scrape the mixture with a fork to form a soft, fluffy texture. Repeat this process for a total of 5-6 hours. (Have the kids do this when they're complaining they're bored this summer.)
- Serve in chilled bowls.
