Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Heat butter in heavy large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add in onions, garlic, and 2 Tbsp. sage; saute/fry 5 min. Add in potatoes and 1 1/2 c. water. Bring to boil. Boil till water is completely absorbed, about 8 min. Add in cream, salt, and pepper; bring to boil.
  3. Transfer skillet to oven and bake till potatoes are tender and top is golden brown, about 40 min. Sprinkle with remaining 1 Tbsp. sage. Serve immediately.
  4. This recipe yields 8 servings.
