  • 1-2 pork chop or possibly pork steak per person
  • 1 lg. onion, minced
  • 1 tbsp. caraway seed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 pound sauerkraut


  1. Brown pork chops or possibly pork steak in large skillet. Cover with water and simmer 15 min. Add in onion, caraway seed, salt and pepper. Simmer 60 min. Remove meat from skillet. Make a gravy. Drain sauerkraut and add in to gravy. Bring to boil. To serve: Spoon sauerkraut gravy over dumplings.
