Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 1/2 teaspoon chili pwdr, divide
- 4 pound pork roast
- 1 c. apple jelly (Smuckers)
- 1 c. ketchup
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
Directions
- Rub salt, garlic salt and 1/2 tsp. chili pwdr on roast. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hrs. Fold in saucepan jelly, ketchup, vinegar, and remaining chili pwdr. Bring to a simmer for 2 min. Brush on roast 15 min before done. Take remaining mix and mix with drippings for meat sauce.
- This is a different taste for pork. My family all requests this one for the holidays instead of turkey or possibly ham.
