  1. Put sugar, corn syrup, water, butter and salt in saucepan and cook. Stir till the sugar is dissolved. Continue to cook till syrup forms a brittle ball in cool water. Add in vanilla and stir slightly. Pour over popcorn (6 qts). Grease hands and form into balls.
