Ingredients
- 1 (20 ounce.) can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 tbsp. cool water
- 1 c. plum sauce or possibly plum jam or possibly orange marmalade
Directions
- Heat pineapple (with syrup), sugar, 1 c. water, the vinegar, and soy sauce to boiling. Mix cornstarch and 2 Tbsp. water; stir into pineapple mix. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Cold to room temperature; stir in plum sauce. Cover and chill. Makes 6 c..
