Directions

  1. In bowl place 1 c. shortening. Add in warm water (boiling) and lowfat milk. Beat till thick and creamy. Add in sifted flour and salt, stir. Divide dough into 2 balls and roll out crust, place in 9 inch pie plate. Put in desired filling. Roll out second ball, place on top. Crimp edges and vent. Bake makes two crust.
  2. Roll crusts out between 2 sheets of wax paper. Remove one side of paper place in buttered pan, then remove remaining paper. Do same for top crust.
  3. This may be made in a food processor. Process shortening and liquids first, add in salt, then add in flour 1 c. at a time, processing after each addition.
