  • 2 Tbsp. coarse-grnd French roast coffee for every
  • 3/4 c. warm water
  •     Warm lowfat milk, preferably 2%, as needed
  •     French coffee press
  •     Hand-pump lowfat milk frother

Directions

  1. Remove the plunger from the coffee press and put the coffee in the bottom. Pour in the water, leaving about 1 inch of space at the top and stir with a small wooden spoon. Rest the plunger on top of the glass pot and let the coffee steep for about 4 to 6 min.
  2. Meanwhile, pour the warm lowfat milk into the frother, insert the plunger, and pump till the lowfat milk is frothy.
  3. Using slight pressure, slowly push the plunger down on the coffee press. Divide the coffee among c. and spoon over the frothed lowfat milk. Serve immediately.
  4. This recipe yields 1 serving.
