Directions

  1. Mix sugar, lowfat milk, syrup, and salt in 2 qt saucepan. Cook over medium heat till it comes to a boil. Lower heat, then continue cooking to soft ball stage (238 degrees). Remove from heat; add in peppermint, food coloring, and pecans. Stir till creamy. Pour onto waxed paper, cold, and separate. This is a nice Christmas confection.
