Ingredients
- 1 pkt Hamburger buns
- 1/4 c. Onion, minced
- 3 Tbsp. Green pepper, minced
- 1 lb Hamburger (lean)
- 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1/2 c. Tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Brown sugar
- 1/2 c. Ketchup
- 1 tsp Prepared mustard
- 3 Tbsp. Vinegar
- 1 c. Celery, diced
Directions
- Saute/fry the onion, green pepper, and hamburger in the 2 Tbsp. of butter. Add in the salt. (I omit the salt entirely)
- Sauce: Fold in bowl and add in to the meat mix.
- Simmer for 1/2 hour. If soupy add in 1 tsp. of corntarch.
- Note: This is one of our favorites. The recipe is easily doubled.
