  1. Beat egg whites till frothy; add in salt and cream of tartar. Continue beating till peaks form. Gradually add in sugar beating well after each addition. Add in vanilla; mix in pecans. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-greased baking sheet. Bake at 275 degrees for 20 min.
