Pasta Carbonara

A peppery pasta dish, made in the microwave.

Ingredients

  • ½ lb. spaghetti
  • ¼ lb. ham, julienned
  • ¾ cup Alfredo sauce
  • ¾ cup onion, diced
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbs. oil
  • ½ tsp. black pepper, ground
  • ½ tsp. salt

Directions

  1. Put the spaghetti, oil, and salt in five cups of water and cook with 950 watts for twelve minutes.
  2. Cook the onions for two minutes, covered, at 950 watts.
  3. Mix the onions, ham, and Alfredo sauce together, and cook, covered, at 950 watts for four minutes.
  4. Beat the egg, mix with the pepper, then stir this into the sauce mixture. Let stand for a minute.
  5. Strain the spaghetti, then toss with the sauce mixture and Parmesan cheese.
