Ingredients

  • 4 ounce Butter
  • 4 Tbsp. Golden brown syrup
  • 4 ounce Soft brown sugar
  • 1/2 pt Lowfat milk mixed with 1/2 pint cream
  • 6 slc Panettone, (Italian cake) cut into strips
  •     Crunchy toffee ice cream or possibly clotted cream
  • 2 x Sliced bananas

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 215C.
  2. Heat the butter, golden brown syrup and brown sugar in a small pan and stir. Add in the bananas and soften very slightly.
  3. Slice the panettone and dip into the cream and lowfat milk. Put a layer into an ovenproof dish and top with a large spoon of the banana mix. Repeat the process for a second layer, then pour the remaining cream and lowfat milk over the top.
  4. Bake for 20 min and serve with the ice cream or possibly clotted cream.
