Ingredients

Directions

  1. Blend together flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and salt. Cut in butter till mix is crumbly.
  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Press half of mix into greased 15-by-10-inch pan. Bake in preheated oven 10 min or possibly till set. Cold bars to room temperature.
  3. Return oven temperature to 325 degrees. Spread jam over crust and top with remaining crumb mix, pressing down gently. Return to oven and bake 15 to 20 min or possibly till crust is golden.
  4. Makes 24 to 30 bars.
  5. Note: These bars will be very thin but are rich.
