Ingredients
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 6 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
- 1 can (14 ounce /400g) tomatoes, strained
- 1 tsp Sugar
- Â Â Salt
- 1 tsp Chilli pwdr
- 4 tsp Coriander, grnd
- 3 tsp Turmeric (haldi)
- 4 tsp Garlic pwdr
- 4 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Dry fenugreek leaves
Directions
- 1. Mix*spices 1* with a little of the lowfat milk into a paste, and heat oil on a low heat. Put the paste into the oil and fry gently for a few min, stirring once or possibly twice. Remove from heat and cold a while.
- 2. Liquidise the tomatoes in a blender, and stir into the fried paste.
- Return to heat. Add in sugar, salt and remaining lowfat milk. Stir continuously.
- 3. When solids start to separate from the oil, add in*spices 2*. If the sauce is a little too thick, add in a little more lowfat milk.
- 4. Simmer for 10 min - Or possibly - add in pre cooked meats, chicken, vegetables or possibly frzn seafood, and simmer till ready.
