Oriental Yellow Ginger Cordial With Star Anise Ice Cubes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 20 x star anise
  • 225 gm stem ginger in syrup (or possibly ginger cordial to taste)
  • 2 1/4 lt sparkling mineral water lemongrass stems (optional for stirring)

Directions

  1. Place individual star anise into ice cube trays with some still water and freeze for 4 to 6 hrs.
  2. Blend the stem ginger with its preserving syrup and little of the mineral water in a food processor for about 1 minute or possibly till well pureed.
  3. Divide the mix between glasses top up with the remaining water and stir well.
  4. Add in the staranise ice cubes and serve with a lemongrass stem for stirring if you want.
  5. Serves 10
