This orange roulade is one of my comfort foods. Is easy, there’s no mess in the kitchen, and it stands for a couple of days untainted.
Ingredients
- 9 eggs
- 450g sugar
- 2 tbs corn starch
- 2 oranges, juice and zest
Directions
- Grease a baking sheet and line it with grease paper.
- Turn the oven to 170ºC.
- Dissolve the corn starch in the orange juice.
- Beat all ingredients, by hand, with a whisk until all is combined.
- Place the mixture in the baking sheet and place it in the oven for about 25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center turns out clean.
- As soon as it comes out of the oven sprinkle the cake with sugar and place a kitchen cloth over it. Turn the baking sheet over so the cake stands on top of the cloth.
- With the help of the cloth roll the cake until forms a roulade.
- Let the cloth holding the roulade until it has cooled down and itâs time to serve it.
