Directions

  1. In a sauce pot melt the butter with the onions, garlic and parsley. Sauté on low until the onions are soft and becoming transparent.
  2. Add the chicken broth and black pepper and continue to simmer on a low heat for approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a griddle and butter the bread slices and toast to a golden color.
  4. Place the bread in a soup bowl. Add the Romano cheese and the mozzarella. Top with the soup and serve.
