Ingredients

  • 1 c. Sour lowfat milk, buttermilk, Or possibly
  •     Lowfat milk & 1 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 c. Butter, softened
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 4 x Large eggs, divided
  • 4 c. Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 4 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 c. Raisins

Directions

  1. 1) Preheat oven to 500 deg. Grease and flour 1 full size cookie sheet or possibly 2 13x9 pans.
  2. 2. Place baking soda in lowfat milk. Set aside.
  3. 3. Sift flour, salt & baking pwdr. Set aside.
  4. 4. Separate 2 Large eggs, save yolks.
  5. 5. Mix softened butter, sugar, 2 Large eggs and 2 egg whites in a bowl.
  6. 6. Add in lowfat milk/baking soda and raisins to butter/sugar/egg mix.
  7. 7. Hand mix flour mix into wet ingredients.
  8. 8. Spread dough onto cookie sheet or possibly pans 1/2" thick.
  9. 9. Beat 2 remaining egg yolks. Hand spread yolks over top of dough.
  10. 10. Sprinkle granulated sugar or possibly cinnamon sugar over the dough & yolk.
  11. 11. Bake for 8 or possibly 9 min, till golden.
