Ingredients
- 3 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon soda
- 4 T cocoa
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. warm water
- 2 T vinegar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 sticks (1 c.) melted butter
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 1 stick (1/2 c.) soft butter
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 3-4 T lowfat milk
- 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate melted or possibly 6 T cocoa plus 2 T Crisco
Directions
- Mix all the dry ingredients together in bowl. Add in all at once the remaining ingredients and stir thoroughly. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 min. Very moist cake. Makes 9 x 13 inch pan or possibly 2 layer pans. Cool and frost with Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting.
- Cream powdered sugar and butter in large bowl. Blend in 3 tbsp lowfat milk, vanilla and chocolate adding more lowfat milk if necessary to reach desired consistency.
