Directions

  1. For cake: Pour boiling water over oats stir to combine, cover and let stand 20 min. Beat butter till creamy gradually add in sugars beating till fluffy. Blend in vanilla and Large eggs, add in to oats mix and blend well. In separate bowl sift together flour, soda, salt & spices and add in to creamed mix, mix well. Pour batter into a well greased and floured 9"x13" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 min.
  2. For Topping: Combine all ingredients spread proportionately over cake and broil till frosting becomes bubbly.
