Oatmeal Choco Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. Margarine or possibly butter softened
  • 3/4 c. Brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Salt (optional)
  • 3 c. Quaker Oats, uncooked (quick or possibly old-fashioned)
  • 12 ounce Semi-sweet chocolate pcs
  • 3/4 c. Minced nuts

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375 F. Beat together margarine and sugars till light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add in to margarine mix, mixing well. Stir in oats, chocolate pcs and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 11 min. Cold 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Store in tightly covered container.
