Oatmeal Cake Recipe

• 1 c. oatmeal
• 1 1/2 c. warm water
• 1 c. brown sugar
• 1 c. white sugar
• 1/2 c. shortening or possibly margarine
• 2 x Large eggs
• 1 1/3 c. cake flour
• 1 tsp soda
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp salt
•     Pour warm water over oatmeal and let stand.
