Ingredients
- 4 c. Apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 1 c. Quick cooking oats
- 1/3 c. Flour
- 1/2 c. Brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/3 c. Melted butter
- 2 c. Water
Directions
- Sprinkle apples with lemon juice. Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon and butter. Place alternate layers of apples and oat mix (beginning and ending with apples) in a buttered bowl or possibly dish which may be set loosely on a low rack in cooker. Cover bowl with aluminum foil and place on rack with water in cooker. Close cover securely. Cook 20 min. Cold cooker at once.
- May be served with ice cream or possibly whipped cream.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
