North Carolina Eastern Style Slaw Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 med heads (about 36 c.)
  •     Cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 1/2 c. Green onions, sliced
  • 1 1/2 quart Mayonnaise or possibly salad dressing
  • 3/4 c. Vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. Celery seed
  • 2 Tbsp. Salt (or possibly to taste)

Directions

  1. Combine cabbage and onion in a large bowl. In a smaller bowl, blend mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, celery seed and salt. Mix well and drizzle mayonnaise mix over cabbage mix. Toss lightly to coat well. Chill till serving.
