• 1/4 c. oil
• 1/4 c. finely-minced onion
• 1 tsp salt
• 4 tsp chili pwdr
• 1 tsp celery salt
• 3/4 tsp cinnamon
• 3/4 tsp marjoram
• 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper
• 1/2 tsp grnd cloves
• 1 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
• 1/2 tsp thyme
• 1/8 tsp garlic pwdr
• 1 quart water
