Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 pound butter
- 2 Large eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 c. nuts
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 soft bananas
Directions
- Cream butter with sugar, add in Large eggs. Sift flour with baking pwdr. Add in rest of ingredients and put dough in 3 (12 oz) coffee cans and fill them half full. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
- My Mother made these cakes very often, in fact whenever someone came to visit there was always a banana bread cake to be eaten. We had to save the coffee cans for her as she was always running out.
