Ingredients
- 2/3 c. Shortening
- 2 c. Cake flour, sifted
- 1Â 1/4 c. Sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Instant coffee
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 c. Water
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 3 lrg Large eggs
- 2 ounce Baking chocolate, unsweetened, melted
Directions
- Cream shortening. Stir in next eight ingredients and then beat for two min. Add in Large eggs and melted chocolate and beat one minute more. Pour into well-greased and floured loaf pan and bake in 350 degree F oven for about one hour. Cold in pan for 10 min and then turn out on rack. When cool, sift confectioners' sugar over top.
