Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 x Sliced med onion
  • 1 x Garlic clove
  • 1 c. Beef broth or possibly bouillon
  • 1 Tbsp. Cornstarch, dissolved in
  • 2 Tbsp. Water
  • 2/3 c. Dry red wine
  • 2 Tbsp. Sherry
  •     Salt & pepper
  • 1 lb Minute steaks
  •     Parsley

Directions

  1. Heat butter in skillet; cook onion & garlic till limp. Stir in broth & cornstarch; heat to boil, stirring till sauce thickens. Stir in wine & sherry; season with salt & pepper. Pour sauce into saucepan & keep hot. Add in steaks to skillet; raise heat & cook, turning occasionally till proportionately browned, about 90 seconds. Remove steaks to platter; pour sauce over. Use parsley as garnish.
