Ingredients

  • 3 med Pears, pared and sliced, or possibly
  • 3 c. Canned sliced pears. Decrease brown sugar to 2 Tbs.
  • 1/4 c. Pillsbury's Best All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Prepared mincemeat
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 c. Pillsbury's Best All Purpose Flour*, sifted
  • 1 1/2 tsp Double-acting baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 x Egg, unbeaten
  • 1/3 c. Prepared mincemeat
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp French's Cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. Funsten's Walnuts, finely minced
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter, melted Honey Spice Whipped
  • 1 c. Whipping cream
  • 2 Tbsp. Honey
  • 1/2 tsp French's cinnamon

Directions

  1. BAKE at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 min.
  2. Serves 8. Prepare 3 medium sizedpears, pared and sliced. Place in a 10 x 6 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/4 c. flour and 1/4 c. brown sugar. (Or possibly substitute 3 c. canned sliced pears. Decrease brown sugar to 2 Tbsp.). Combine 1/2 c. mincemeat, lemon juice, and 3 Tbsp. melted butter. Set aside. Sift together 1 c. sifted flour, baking pwdr, and salt into mixing bowl. Cut in 2 Tbsp. butter till particles are fine. Combine 1 egg and lowfat milk to measure 1/3 c.. Add in with 1/3 c. prepared mincemeat to dry ingredients.
  3. Stir till dough clings together. Drop by level tablespoonfuls into mix of 1/4 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, and 1/4 c. walnuts, finely minced. Place biscuits over pears. Sprinkle with remaining sugar mix.
  4. Drizzle with 1 Tbsp. butter, melted. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) 30 to 35 min. Serve hot with Honey Spice Whipped Cream.*for use with Pillsbury's Best Self-Rising Flour, omit baking pwdr and salt.
  5. Honey Spice Whipped Cream: Beat whipping cream till thickened. Add in honey and cinnamon. Continue beating till thick.
