Ingredients
- Whole sweet potatoes (6 to start)
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 pound butter
- Cinnamon sugar
- Vanilla flavoring
- Nutmeg
Directions
- Slice potatoes and boil till done. Drain off water except about 1 c.. Place potatoes in a glass casserole dish, in rows. Top the layer with 1/3 of the sugar, butter, and cinnamon sugar. Sprinkle with nutmeg and add in a dash of flavoring. Place another layer of potatoes and follow the same procedure. Do this till all 3 layers are covered with the ingredients. Bake, covered, in oven at 325 degrees for 30 min. Remove and let stand 10 min before serving. (As added decoration, try using mini-marshmallows on top.)
