Ingredients

  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1/4 c. minced onions
  • 2 c. kidney beans, liquid removed
  • 1/2 c. spice sweet tomato type French or possibly Russian dressing
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tbsp. chili pwdr
  • 4 c. shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 c. sliced green onions
  • 1 (8 ounce.) wedge cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

  1. Brown meat, add in onions and cook till tender. Stir in beans, French dressing, water and chili pwdr. Simmer 15 min. Combine lettuce and green onions. Add in meat sauce and 1 1/2 c. cheese. Toss lightly. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Serve with crisp tortillas and sliced tomatoes.
