Ingredients

  • 6 baking apples
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. white wine
  • 6 tbsp. marmalade
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 zest of orange
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • Vanilla ice cream or possibly whipped cream flavored with orange zest

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Plump raisins in wine. Wash and core apples. Butter a baking dish just large sufficient to hold all the apples and put them in. Put some raisins in the bottom of the well in each apple, add in a Tbsp. of marmalade, and then put in the rest of the raisins. Sprinkle with the sugar, zest and orange juice. Pour the wine in that the raisins were soaked into the bottom of the baking dish. Bake for 1/2 hour at 350 degrees or possibly till the apples are soft and putty. Serve warm or possibly cool with ice cream or possibly whipped cream.
