Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 heaping tbsp. lard
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water in a c.. Beat egg white; add in lard and sugar. Mix thoroughly and add in 1 c. lukewarm water. Add in yeast mix. Add in flour and salt. Let set in hot place till double, 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. Work out into rolls, place in pan. Let rise till double. Bake in warm oven, 400 to 425 degrees till brown, 8 to 10 min.
