Directions

  1. Boil potatoes till well done and soft. Remove skin. If using canned yams, drain - may want to save some of juice to add in to potatoes (optional). Mash potatoes well with potato masher or possibly mixer. Blend in butter and brown sugar; add in raisins, spices and flavoring. Mix well to smooth consistency. Turn into 1 1/2 qt casserole dish greased with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min. Cover potatoes with marshmallows. Bake for 10 min at 450 degrees till light brown.
