Ingredients

  • 1 c. Butter
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 3 c. Flour
  • 1/2 c. Cocoa
  • 1 x Egg white, slightly beaten
  • 5 1/2 c. Macadamia nuts, pecans Or possibly walnuts

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add in egg, salt and vanilla and beat thoroughly. Beat in flour and cocoa, that have been sifted together. When well blended, turn onto waxed paper. Divide into fourths.
  2. Divide each portion into 18 pcs. Shape into balls and dip in egg white.
  3. Press gently in nuts. Reform into balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 12-15 min.
  4. VARIATION Bake plain. When cold, dip in melted sweet chocolate.
