Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 c. Granulated sugar
  • 1 c. Firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 3 lrg Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 c. All-purpose flour, divided
  • 2 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/3 c. Unsweetened cocoa pwdr
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter, melted
  • 1 c. M&Ms(r) lowfat milk chocolate mini baking bits, divided

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Lightly grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside. Cream butter and sugars till light and fluffy; beat in vanilla and Large eggs. Stir in 2 1/4 c. flour mixed with baking pwdr and salt; blend well. Divide batter in half. Blend together cocoa pwdr and melted butter; stir into one half the dough; spread proportionately into prepared baking pan. To the remaining dough, stir in 1/4 c. flour and 1/2 c. "M&M's"(r)
  2. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Baking Bits; spread proportionately over cocoa dough in pan. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 c. baking bits. Bake 25 to 30 min or possibly till edges start to pull away from sides of pan. Cold completely. Cut into bars. Store in tightly covered container.
