Ingredients
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 3 pound stew meat
- 2 tbsp. bacon fat
- 3 med. onions
- 11 ounce. can tomatoes
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 6 to 8 carrots (cut into 1 inch pcs)
Directions
- Combine first 6 ingredients and sprinkle on stew meat. Brown in warm fat in Dutch oven. Add in next 4 ingredients and 1/2 c. water. Bring to boil. Cover and simmer 2 hrs.
- Add in carrots and raisins, simmer 30 min longer. Serve over rice or possibly noodles. Excellent when served with cornbread and a green salad.
